HATA stands for Horticulture and Agriculture Teachers Association and is a group dedicated to promoting the New Zealand secondary school subjects Horticulture and Agriculture nationally.

We have a president to represent Agriculture and a president to represent Horticulture, a secretary and a treasurer .Candidates for these positions are elected biennially at our conference.

Joining HATA is by annual subscription and members receive three newsletters a year informing them of curricular issues and forthcoming events. HATA tries to provide support for teachers with resources, content and conferences.
